Getting to the start.

  • Use Sokcho as your transport base. City buses 7 and 7-1 serve Seoraksan Sogongwon; check the official route and timetable for your stop.
  • At Sogongwon, follow the signed Biryong Falls branch. The outward trail figure excludes transport and your return walk.

Before you set off.

  • Read the park’s closure notices and permitted entry times on your travel day.
  • The final 0.4 km after Biryong is steep stair climbing. The earlier, gentler path does not describe the whole route.
  • Use designated decks and viewing areas; do not enter the stream or approach Towangseong Falls off trail.
